The White House
On March 16, 2009, President Obama assembled about 100 small business owners in the East Room of the White House to announce new rules favorable to small business. Kareem Dale, the new Special Advisor to the President for Disability Issues, invited three individuals to the eent: me as the President of Audio Description Associates; Carmen Jones, President of the Solutions Marketing Group, a company that targets consumers with disabilities; and Joyce Bender, the head of Bender Consulting Services and host of Disability Matters. Carmen had the opportunity to meet with the President in a small group before the East Room gathering to personally express some of the needs unique to the community of people with disabilities; the President noted Carmen in his remarks.
